Studio Nawak is a French independent studio dedicated to browser video games. Its projects are NAWAK — Mauvaise Herbe, a 2D action platformer, and Ignition, an apocalyptic racing-action game.
The studio builds offbeat worlds, characters with attitude and games you can access from a web page. Its creator leads game design, programming and creative direction, with AI tools assisting throughout development.
The games use web technologies: HTML, JavaScript and WebGL. NAWAK is developed with help from Codex. The presentation website uses React and Vite; its pages are pre-rendered to remain readable without JavaScript.
NAWAK — Mauvaise Herbe is a single-player 2D action platformer by Studio Nawak, available as a free public alpha in your browser. A tiny crowned black creature fights a hostile garden with claws, a Glock and Nawak Mode.
